Job Title: Marketing and Purchasing Representative

Job Overview:

As a Marketing and Purchasing Representative at Davis Office Furniture, you will play a pivotal role in both marketing and purchasing functions, contributing to the overall success of the company. This dynamic position includes additional duties involving customer interaction and sales support, making it a comprehensive and rewarding role.


Key Responsibilities:

Marketing Duties

  1. Social Media Management:
    • Oversee and manage the company's presence on various social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
    • Develop and implement engaging content, promotions, and campaigns to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
  2. Website Management:
    • Regularly update and maintain the company website with new products, content, and relevant information.
    • Collaborate with the design and content teams to ensure a visually appealing and user-friendly website.
  3. Email Campaigns:
    • Create, execute, and manage email campaigns targeting the customer base.
    • Analyze campaign performance and implement improvements to optimize engagement and conversion rates.

Purchasing Duties

  1. Order Verification and Placement:
    • Communicate effectively with the sales team to verify customer orders and requirements.
    • Place purchase orders with vendors based on sales team input and customer needs.
  2. Purchase Order Processing:
    • Submit accurate and timely purchase orders to vendors, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
    • Monitor order status and proactively address any delays or issues to meet customer expectations.
  3. Vendor Communication:
    • Verify vendor acknowledgments to ensure order accuracy and alignment with customer expectations.
    • Maintain open communication channels with vendors to resolve any discrepancies and build strong relationships.
  4. Warehouse Coordination:
    • Provide necessary receiving documents and work orders to the warehouse team for efficient order fulfillment.
    • Collaborate with the warehouse team to streamline processes and ensure timely delivery to customers.

Additional Duties

  1. Customer Interaction:
    • Answer phones and greet customers as they enter the showroom.
    • Assist customers with sales inquiries on the showroom floor.
  2. Lead Generation:
    • Proactively generate leads for the business through customer interactions and engagement.
    • Identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling to maximize sales potential.



This is an hourly position starting at $19/hour.

Additional commission on sales to incentivize and reward your contribution to the company's success.



Proven experience in marketing, with a focus on social media management and email campaigns preferred.

Previous experience in purchasing or procurement roles, with knowledge of order processing and vendor management preferred.

Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
